This notice summarises what personal data R.E.Y. Trade Kft. (trading as Buda Estates; contact: info@budaestates.com) processes while operating this website, for what purposes and for how long. For questions or to exercise your rights, write to the e-mail address above.
Data controller
The controller is R.E.Y. Trade Kft. (trading as Buda Estates; registered seat: Bartók Béla út 44, 3231 Gyöngyössolymos, Hungary; company registration number: 10-09-041701; tax number: 32746206-1-10; contact: info@budaestates.com). The website presents properties in Budapest and around Lake Balaton; visiting it requires no registration or account.
Private share links
Some listings are shared with interested clients through private, personal links. When creating such a link we record the recipient's name and/or e-mail address, and when and how many times the link was opened (first and last open, open count). The purpose is presenting the requested property and following up on the enquiry; the legal basis is our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We keep this data until the link is revoked or deleted, at the latest until the listing itself is removed; links can be revoked at any time and the data is deleted on request.
Security logging (IP addresses)
To prevent abusive use of share links (rate limiting) we keep a technical log of opens. Your IP address is never stored — only an irreversible fingerprint (hash) salted with a secret key, from which the IP address cannot be recovered. Log entries are deleted automatically after at most 24 hours. Legal basis: legitimate interest (security of the service).
Staff accounts
The administration interface is available exclusively to our staff; their sign-in is handled by an external authentication provider. There are no visitor accounts.
Operational logs
The website is hosted by an external hosting provider, which keeps the usual technical serving logs (e.g. request time, IP address) under its own data-processing terms, with short retention.
Data processors
For operating the website we use external processors: a hosting and serving provider, an EU-based (Frankfurt) database provider, an authentication provider (staff sign-in) and an image-hosting provider (property photos). Where processing happens outside the EU, it is covered by safeguards under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).
Cookies
We only use cookies essential for operation (language preference and staff sign-in). We use no marketing, advertising or analytics cookies, so no consent banner is required.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, object to processing, and request data portability. Submit requests to info@budaestates.com; we respond within one month at the latest. You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian supervisory authority (NAIH, naih.hu).
Updating this notice
We may update this notice from time to time; the current version is always available on this page together with its revision date.
